I fell in love with Havukruunu's last release, Uinuos Syömein Sota in the last quarter of 2021, so it was only a matter of time before I got my filthy hands on Kuu Erkylän Yllä. The clean parts have been improved dramatically. Yön Torni, my highlight of the record, worms its way into my ears in the most inappropriate of moments. I feel like Uinuos Syömein Sota was a bit stronger overall, but here we have 35 brisk, well-invested and sophisticated minutes of Finnish paganism! Hail Havukruunu!
